There have been some technical difficulties, so we’re extending the ballots until Monday night, so they’ll be open until then. The nominations will be posted (hopefully) on Tuesday, given everything goes according to plan! That just means you all get a little more time to send in your votes, so be sure to do so!
You can find that here.
We did previously state that a blog would have to hit all those points to be considered a complete spam vote. It’s incredibly easy to spot spam and we are not saying it’s impossible to get followers if you don’t tag your posts, but we find it highly unlikely as we don’t know how people would know about your blog to follow you if you never tagged in the first place. We don’t in anyway want this to be a popularity contest which is why we go to such lengths to keep the process fair. We personally check each and every blog that is nominated and please believe that the awards will be based on the quality of an rp and not on how people can cheat the system.
Yes, no blog will be on the final ballot that didn’t receive at least five nominations.
What we mean by this, is if there is an unusually high amount of votes for a certain blog and we check it out and it hits all of those three points, then the likelihood is they would have spammed themselves. Especially if they don’t tag their posts or they haven’t asked people to nominate them, because there would be no way for people to know they existed.
Really? Oh…I see it now. That’s a new one for me, I can add it to the list and once again if it doesn’t receive enough nominees with five nominations or more for the final ballot then we will merge that category with another.
If you let us know what Cherry is we can add it to the ballot for you.
Yes we can, the adult categories will most likely get combined if there are accounts that receive five nominations, but we can most definitely add Hiram.
I know talking gleeks have withdrawn themselves from any awards blog, however we do feel that just because of what happened within the other awards it isn’t fair to not include them in future awards. We are planning on giving any and all ask RP characters a category of their own, for now the ballot will stay the same, but any ask RP’s that are nominated in the individual character awards will be made into a category of their own if they, like any other receive more than five nominations. We don’t feel like they should be excluded from the awards, however we do understand that due to the nature of those RP’s gaining followers is a necessity so they are able to receive questions, a result of that means they are incredibly popular.
A lot of those RPers are extremely talented and put a lot of work into their portrayel and the questions they answer, however we don’t think it’s right for that type of RP to be in the same category as a heavy writing one for example. So although we won’t be ignoring those RP’s we want to give everyone, including the ask RP’s the best chance, therefore they will not be in the individual character categories unless it is a pure ask RP category.
If you have any further questions, or this answer was in any way confusing, please don’t hesitate to ask.
We’re glad you appreciate this awards blog, but we are in no way trying to compete with the other awards blog, nor are we here to criticise them in anyway. We simply want to provide a fair way for RPers to get some appreciation.
